CASINO ROYALE, THE FIRST HD TITLE TO EVER SELL OVER 100,000 COPIES!

The post title pretty much sums everything up in one sentence. But this is an important milestone for high definition as a standard. No HD title on either the Blu Ray or HD-DVD format has sold this many copies until now. In addition this was the first HD title to Break into Amazon.com's top ten dvd seller list. 100,000 copies were sold in under 2 weeks. In a press release from Sony, they stated that in 1998 when the dvd format first came out, it took them almost 11 months to ship 100,000 copies of "Air Force One!" No doubt Playstation 3 has helped blu ray sales. Even though HD-DVD had almost a years head start over the Blu Ray format, it has been surpassed by 3:1 in sales volumes according to amazon.com.
